Tatyana Ali — Smart, Sweet & Sexy

The gorgeous and talented Tatyana Ali started her career at age six, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Most will remember her as the cute younger sister Ashley Banks on the TV sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, which she played from the ages of 11 to 18 alongside a great team of actors including Will Smith. Although she started her career extremely early she remains surprisingly untainted by her childhood fame. When asked about her experience growing up as a young actress she says, “My experience was really great. I was surrounded by such a talented and respectful group of people that I was sheltered from some of the bad experiences that other childhood actresses have encountered.” After her time on “Fresh Prince”, the self proclaimed “nerd” went on to get a degree from Harvard, proving she is not only a great actress but also has a sharp mind. She has continued her acting career in a slew of different projects, including the recent film Mother and Child that she starred in alongside Annette Bening and Samuel Jackson, which she said was another extraordinary experience. You’ll be seeing and hearing more about Tatyana in 2010 as her production company HazraH Entertainment is working on two projects, a TV show called “Love That Girl!” and her second album, which will be released this spring, called The Lights. Her first album was produced 10 years ago, and it is clear that this album is a project that is extremely proud of. She is writing and producing the album by herself, and she says that it is very much autobiographical. She says the theme of The Lights is “to not be afraid to let your inner light guide you.” Her favorite song on the album is “Me and My Crew”, and will be giving a portion of the proceeds from the album to HBCU’s, which are historically black colleges and universities. With all that she has going on, 2010 will be a great year for Tatyana Ali, and it is evident that we will be seeing a lot more this refreshingly poised and gifted young woman in the upcoming years.
